eazy NBD
Neutral pH / HCF tank cleaner
eazy NBD is a detergent typically required when caustic based cleaner cannot be used or for cleaning up after gasoil cargoes.

eazy NBD is an effective non-caustic detergent designed for use in circumstances where caustic based cleaners cannot be used.
It is safe to use on most metals including zinc, tin, aluminium and galvanised materials and zinc silicate coated tanks.
In accordance with MARPOL Annex II Regulation 13.5.2 and MEPC.1/Circ.590, Tank Cleaning Additives Guidance Note and Reporting Form, eazy NBD is approved as a cargo tank cleaning additive.
APPLICATION
Product is suitable cleaning cargo tanks after discharge of drying, semi-drying and non-drying natural oils and fats.
It can be used for tank cleaning and deodorising prior to changing to foodstuffs in order to achieve a sufficient standard of cleanliness.
DIRECTIONS
General Cleaning
Product should be applied undiluted for general maintenance applications such as deck areas and bulkheads. Once applied, it should be allowed to soak for at least 15 to 20 minutes and agitated by brushing, then rinsed thoroughly with water.
Tank Cleaning
For tank cleaning applications a pre-wash with hot water at a temperature of 60 to 70°C is recommended. A solution rate of 2 to 5% should then be premixed in a holding tank and re-circulated by automatic tank washing equipment for a period of 3 to 6 hours at 80°C
Product can also be used to degrease tanks by spray method. It should be applied undiluted and allowed to soak for a period of at least 30 minutes and then rinsed with hot water at 60 to 70°C.
NOTE: Certain types of oils require lower cleaning temperatures due to polymerisation issues. Consult with the cargo supplier for more information and guidance.
SUPERVISION
As well as a full range of globally available tank cleaning chemicals, we are also able to offer services in upgrading vessels from “dirty” to “clean” cargoes. By attending a vessel during the discharge of its oil, and then remaining with it through the subsequent cleaning operation, we ensure that it is in a suitable condition to load the next cargo.
